About Us
Meet Our Nurse Practitioner
Arif Ahamed Abdul Samad graduated in 2009 with a nursing baccalaureate from Ryerson University Toronto. He completed Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at Queen’s University in 2014.
As a NP, he worked in Belleville NP led clinic from 2014 to 2023. At present, he is working in community health centers in Toronto and Niagara region as primary care nurse practitioner.
His interest for dermatology developed during this time, since then he completed professional diploma in general dermatology and skin cancer medicine besides several certificate courses in dermato-pathology and dermoscopy. He undertook training with several dermatologists in Ontario for skin diseases management and surgery.
He presents in several NP forums on the topics of primary care dermatology and dermoscopy and is further pursuing his higher education in this field.
He started NP skin care clinic in 2022 to provide expert and personalized skin care consultations and treatments. ​
Our clinic is dedicated to offer comprehensive online consultations to assess your skin and recommend evidence-based treatments. ​

Dermoscopic Assessment
​Refers to the examination of the skin using skin surface microscope, it is mainly used to evaluate pigmented skin lesions In experienced hands, it can make it easier to diagnose melanoma at early stages and various other types of skin cancers besides other skin conditions.
Cryotherapy
In dermatology cryotherapy refers to treatment in which the surface skin growth or warts are frozen. Cryotherapy is also called as cryosurgery.
The freezing material is applied to skin for a few seconds to treat the condition.
Cryotherapy is mainly used to remove scaly skin lesions like viral warts, seborrheic keratoses, actinic keratoses, superficial skin cancer and basal cell skin cancer
Small Procedures
Skin surgery is the done for the treatment of medically necessary and for cosmetic skin, nail conditions. It is an in clinic procedure with a local anesthetic like a tooth extraction taking a few minutes to half hour.
Skin surgery is essential for removal of skin cancers and suspicious skin lesions, including rare skin tumors. This can be used also for non cancerous growths that are causing nuisance or unsightly, such as large moles, skin tags, seborrheic keratoses and others.

​Patients are responsible for submitting their own claims directly to their insurance provider. Payment is required at the time of your appointment, and it remains the patient’s responsibility to confirm coverage eligibility and obtain reimbursement.
